NASF SUR/FIN® Conference
The Technology Advisory Committee (TAC) is eager to see the arrival of June 19-21 for SUR/FIN 2017 in Atlanta. The conference sessions this year are shaping up to be some of the best informative sessions ever for attendees. We are proud to introduce 14 session tracks. In addition to the core topics on Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, and Advances in Surface Finishing, we have introduced some new track sessions, including topics on Research Sustainability, Surface Modification Techniques, Technical Response to REACH, and Techniques or Technologies that Improve Productivity or Increase Performance.
The TAC just completed the voting selection process, which provided many challenges, this year especially. Normally, our session schedule provides for 72 presentations. By the submission deadline, we had received 111 abstract submissions, making the selection process more difficult. Thank you!
The TAC worked with the NASF team to expand the session schedule to include 84 presentations. However, this still required the elimination of 27 abstracts, which is not taken lightly by TAC members. It’s unfortunate that these abstract submissions cannot be utilized, but we encourage people not selected this year to consider submitting for SUR/FIN 2018 in Cleveland, Ohio. The strength of the program resides in your submissions, and we are grateful for your involvement.
We look forward to seeing you in Atlanta!
